New housing
New Housing has essentially two different scales of meaning in terms of the construction of buildings.
- The first and most obvious scale refers to the house(s) or home(s), which might be more commonly called a new dwelling house in planning terms. New housing my also refer to change of use in planning terms, rather than purely new build. For more information see: Housing.
- The second is a housing which on a smaller scale refers to a rigid casing that encloses and protects a piece of moving or delicate equipment such as pump or motor housing. See also: Casing.
